2CRPG Conducts Ice Rescue Training

From the 14 to 17 Febuary 2011, the Canadian Forces Military Instructors from the 2nd Canadian Ranger Patrol Group received training on Ice Rescue. The training was conducted at Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Quebec.

The goal of the training is to acquire the necessary skills and knowledge to conduct ice rescue and to teach thereafter the Canadian Rangers and Junior Rangers the dangers associated with ice and how to react during an emergency.

The training was provided by specialists from the Advanced Rescue Techniques School of Canada.
